Within the Richmond Hill print collection, modern engraving and print techniques (including digital printing which is used to produce two of the designs) allow a delicacy of tone, texture and detail previously not possible. It can be decorated from a wide range of traditional and contemporary finials, midials and holdbacks. However, Metropole has the added advantage of functioning like a curtain track – gliders run smoothly in siliconised aluminium channels, unhindered by brackets or rings.

Sissinghurst is taken from a beautiful full width print on glazed chintz found in the Warner archive. It shows a delicate and multi-coloured peony tree in which colourful birds are perched across its 1.5 metre height repeat.

Tournier has been adapted from a mid 19th century French archive print and is typical of the highly detailed block prints from that time. The block print textures have been retained to soften the pattern and update it from earlier reproductions that used flat colour.
